936 Insider is the community hub for the 936 area code. We list local businesses, events, and sales all across East Texas, and we built the whole thing around one simple idea: the businesses that help keep East Texas clean deserve to be seen first.
Our story
936 Insider started with a frustration a lot of locals share. Good small businesses were invisible online, real community events were scattered across a dozen Facebook groups, and the roadsides kept filling up with litter.
So we put it all in one place. A clean, searchable directory of local businesses, real calendar of verified local events, map of yard and estate sales across the region, and a pledge that ties it together.
We are based right here in the 936 area and run by an East Texan, not an out-of-state media company.
Our logo
That pine cone in our logo is no accident. East Texas is the Piney Woods, and the tall pines are part of what makes this corner of the state feel like home. The pine cone stands for putting down roots here: local, invested, and proud of it. A small reminder that 936 Insider belongs to East Texas, planted here and growing.
The Clean Community Pledge
This is what makes us different. Every business listed on 936 Insider signs a Clean Community Pledge, agreeing to keep their grounds clean and do their part for a litter-free East Texas.
