The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public for help identifying an SUV involved in a deadly auto-pedestrian hit-and-run near FM 1485 and Willaby Road in southeast Montgomery County. Deputies released the Be On the Lookout alert early Sunday after obtaining video of the vehicle leaving the scene.
Investigators say the suspect vehicle is an SUV and likely has damage to the front-right area from the collision. Anyone who recognizes the SUV or saw the crash is asked to call the sheriff’s office at 936-538-5900 and reference case number 26A318298. Tipsters who want to stay anonymous can call Multi-County Crime Stoppers at 800-392-7867, which pays up to $5,000 for information leading to a felony arrest.
The crash is one of two serious weekend wrecks the sheriff’s office is working. Deputies also reported two people in critical condition after a side-by-side crash earlier Sunday morning.
