Nacogdoches Medical Center broke ground Tuesday on its new South Campus, the facility formerly known as Nacogdoches Memorial Hospital. The campus officially opened August 11 following the Tenet transition merger.
Hospital leaders said the goal of the expansion is to widen health care access for residents across Nacogdoches County and the surrounding 936 area. The South Campus adds capacity to a system that already serves patients from several neighboring counties.
For local families, the practical effect is a second full campus in town rather than a single point of care. Residents should contact the hospital directly for current service lines and hours at each location.
