A weekly Saturday market with farm-fresh produce, homemade goods, baked items, and artisan products from local growers and small businesses. The market runs rain or shine.

Annual Pioneer Trade Day at the historic Gaines Oliphant House in Hemphill. Living history, demonstrations, and vendors on the third Saturday of October.

San Augustine fills its historic downtown for the 36th year of the Sassafras Festival, with vendors, entertainment and family activities across the square. The festival runs all day and admission is free.

Annual Milam Settlers Day the third weekend of November, featuring reenactors, music, food, vendors, and the Little Pioneer Pageant. A 5K run/walk is also held that morning (5K has a separate paid entry).
