A Central Heights ISD fire broke out at the district’s high school building Saturday night, according to an announcement from Central Heights ISD near Nacogdoches. The timing is difficult for families, coming just days before East Texas schools open for the new year.
The district shared word of the fire late Saturday. Officials have not yet released the extent of the damage or whether the building will be ready for students.
