The Piney Woods Comic Con Lufkin returned to the Pitser Garrison Convention Center this weekend for its third year, drawing large crowds of cosplayers, collectors, and families for a two-day pop culture event.
Organizers said the third annual show filled the exhibit hall with vendors selling comics, toys, and art, alongside artist alley booths and panels. Costume contests and photo ops brought a steady stream of foot traffic through downtown Lufkin.
The convention has grown each year since its debut and is helping put Lufkin on the East Texas fandom convention map, alongside similar events in Tyler and Nacogdoches.
