A Pilot EV charging station Lufkin drivers can now use has opened at the Pilot travel center on East Denman Avenue, adding the city to the company’s coast-to-coast electric vehicle charging network.
The new site offers high-speed DC fast chargers designed to take most current EVs from a low battery to roughly 80 percent in about 20 to 30 minutes. Pilot said the Lufkin location is part of a broader rollout across its U.S. travel center network aimed at long-distance EV travelers.
For local drivers, the station gives Angelina County its first branded public fast charger on a major travel corridor, closing a gap between similar sites in the Houston area and Northeast Texas.
