SFA Lumberjacks Roll Past East Texas A&M 44-7 in Home Opener at Nacogdoches

The SFA Lumberjacks football team opened the home slate at Homer Bryce Stadium in Nacogdoches on Saturday with a lopsided 44-7 win over East Texas A&M, jumping to an early lead and never letting up. The nationally ranked Jacks controlled both sides of the ball from the opening drive.

SFA scored on the ground and through the air, mixing tempo and depth to wear down the visiting Lions. The defense forced multiple stops in the red zone and held East Texas A&M to a single touchdown across four quarters.

The Lumberjacks return to Homer Bryce Stadium for another home matchup as they continue their conference push. Fans packed the stands for the home opener, with the SFA band adding to the atmosphere on the same weekend the program marked its band centennial.
