The Angelina County tax office reopens Monday, August 18, during normal business hours after a week-long closure for a computer software migration and staff training.
The office was closed August 11 through August 15. Anyone who put off a vehicle registration renewal, a title transfer or a property tax question during that week can take care of it starting Monday.
Expect a heavier than usual line the first day or two while the office works through the backlog. If your business handles multiple registrations, going midweek may save you time.
