A 72-year-old Jasper man wanted on child sex charges turned himself in to Jasper County authorities on Thursday, Oct. 1 without incident, Sheriff Chuck Havard said.
Havard said the warrant for Milton Paul Beatty of Jasper came out of an investigation the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office opened in late July that reportedly involved a person under 18.
Beatty is charged with Indecency with a Child by Sexual Contact and Solicitation of Prostitution involving a victim younger than 18, Havard said. He has not been convicted; the charges are accusations in the warrant.
