Burn bans

Seven counties in the 936 area are under an active burn ban: Houston, Nacogdoches, Sabine, San Augustine, Shelby, Trinity, and Walker. Angelina, Jasper, Montgomery, Newton, Polk, San Jacinto, and Tyler counties are not under a ban as of this morning.

Roads

No flooding closures are reported in the 936 area. DriveTexas lists a short-term FM 354 closure north of SH 21 in San Augustine County that reopens at 5 p.m. Monday, and FM 3131 in Jasper County remains closed long term for construction. TxDOT has published a Lufkin District weekly update covering lane closures on US 59, US 69, FM 324 and the Corrigan Relief Route Sept. 28 through Oct. 2.

Rivers

No rivers at flood stage. NOAA gauges across the Angelina, Neches, Sabine, Trinity, and San Jacinto basins in the 936 area are all reading below action stage this morning.
