Beall’s opens new department store in Jasper with ribbon cutting at Crossroads Shopping Center

The new Beall’s department store in Jasper held its grand opening Saturday, with more than one hundred people lining up outside the Crossroads Shopping Center for the ribbon cutting, according to KJAS. The store opened in a space near Brookshire Brothers.

Jasper Mayor Clark McLane and JEDCO President Bill Grant joined members of the Jasper Police Department, Jasper Fire Department, and Beall’s associates for the ribbon cutting. The new store has about forty employees and is still accepting applications, representatives told KJAS.

Beall’s Regional Director Cedrick Vinson and team member Justin Williams spoke with KJAS during the opening. Williams said Beall’s has been opening stores in several Texas markets this week, including Gonzales and Corpus Christi, as the Bradenton, Florida-based company moves into communities that were once served by the earlier Beall’s chain.

Store hours are Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 9:30 p.m., and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
