Hudson ISD Tax Rate Lowered by About One Cent for New Budget Year

The Hudson ISD tax rate is going down by about one cent after the school board approved a small reduction along with the district budget this week. Trustees credited strong local appraisal growth and steady state funding for the ability to lower the rate.

The change is modest but moves the total rate below the prior year for Hudson property owners. Officials noted the district is still able to fund planned campus and staffing priorities under the new number.

The updated Hudson ISD rate will show up on tax statements later this fall. Details of the vote and the full budget are available in the board packet posted on the district website.
